Techsupport

For troubleshooting purpose customer can generate a techsupport file. This file can be generated from WEB UI.

Generating techsupport file

  1. Go to Support -> Generate Techsupport


  2. Select what kind of data should be included in tech support file.


    1. System logs: Includes syslog, dmesg, rabbitmq, mongodb, arangodb and IP Fabric API service logs. Customer data are NOT included.
    2. Service logs: Includes IP Fabric discovery service logs without CLI. Customer data are NOT included.
    3. CLI logs: Includes CLI logs from IP Fabric discovery. Sensitive data included!
    4. DB dumps: Includes arangodb database dump.Sensitive data included (except user authentication details)!

  3. Click Generate

Techsupport file is encrypted. Only IP Fabric support staff is able to decrypt techsupport data.

Uploading techsupport file

FTP

Techsupport can be uploaded to FTP server below. FTP server accepts only tar files with size less than 1GB. User can only save techsupport file (no directory or file listing is allowed).

User and password provided by technical support.

WEB

Secure HTTP can be also used for techsupport upload.
